James Hughes is the Founder and Managing Partner of TPS Financial. He has over 25 years of experience as a Financial Consultant. With a focus on retirement benefits, his experience is in helping his clients prepare for the future through Retirement Planning, College Funding, Wealth Management, Estate Planning and Family Protection.

Jim is dedicated to his individual clients and the organizations they represent. He understands the complicated financial nuances when creating financial strategies for schools, non-profit organizations, and businesses. Jim takes great pride in his leadership of TPS and the high quality of the professionals within the organization. Jim earned his Bachelor’s degree from William Paterson University.

Jim focuses on helping Educators translate their lifetime of income into a legacy for themselves and their family. “As my client’s needs have matured, so has my business” says Jim. “From their first year of teaching to their retirement, I pride myself on experienced guidance in retirement funding and accumulation strategies during the greatest earning phase of their career.” Jim’s knowledge and access to all of Equitable Advisors’ financial products, as well as various investments and insurance companies, allows him to provide unbiased guidance and appropriate investment vehicles to help meet his client’s changing needs for themselves and their family.

Customer Service Excellence: Jim is committed to his clients. He is accessible via his personal cell phone from 7am-9pm, as well as during on-site visits to schools. Jim also offers in-home consultations upon request.

Personal
Jim is dedicated to his family, his wife Elaine and their children. He enjoys spending time with his family and coaching T-Ball, Rec Baseball, Soccer, Flag Football and Travel Baseball. Jim takes pride in the sponsorship of these teams as well as his ability to offer scholarship funds in many public schools to further educational benefits to their students.
